In “The Australian State in the 21st Century” Greg Smith identified the need for the Australian state to match the complexity of its environment, in order to play its full potential role in the social and economic order and sustain a viable liberal democracy.
In the second presentation of the “Australia in the 21st Century” series, David Glynne Jones will outline the keys to understanding and managing complexity, with examples of how these have been used successfully and could be applied in developing “future modes of operation” for effective 21st century public administration.
David Glynne Jones is an independent advocate for the transformation of Australian public administration to meet the challenges of the 21st century. His vocational background is in the operations and management of information and communications technology, information governance and management, and organisational development.
There will be a Q&A session following the presentation, then light refreshments.
