Manning Clark House

Manning Clark House is a national scholarly and cultural organisation, based in the Robin Boyd-designed Canberra house in which the historian Professor Manning Clark, his wife Dymphna and their family lived and worked for nearly 50 years. The house became an institution in Canberra, known as a lively meeting place for writers, artists, scholars and other intellectuals. The house is set in large gardens in Forrest, an established central suburb of Canberra. Manning Clark’s elevated book-lined private study is available for use by Residential Fellows. The house and gardens offer an exceptionally amenable environment for thinking, research and writing.
